"Libraries: Charting the Course" - We invite you to join with VAASL as we celebrate and promote creativity, culture and collaboration in school libraries across the state of Virginia.
The Virginia Association of School Librarians (VAASL) has a membership of over 1200 school librarians, many of which are district level supervisors with large purchasing budgets and decision makers for the largest school systems throughout Virginia. We anticipate more than 800 will participate in this year's Fall Conference in Norfolk.
Your financial support for the conference enables us to support librarians around the state in the current professional landscape of school libraries. Registering for a booth, sponsoring an event and/or advertising in the program or newsletter are perfect ways to showcase your company to our membership and conference participants.

Exhibit Hall Grand Opening
Thursday, 8:00 a.m., Exhibit Hall
A ribbon cutting kicks off the day with a festive spirit. During this event, door prizes will be awarded to lucky attendees.
Presidents Reception and Author Celebration
Thursday, 4:30-6:00 p.m., Exhibit Hall
Guest authors from across the state are being invited to join us for a signing event at our traditional Presidents Reception in the Exhibit Hall. Authors will be seated throughout the hall to encourage librarians to continue to meet all of our exhibitors and vendor representatives. Snack Break with the Vendors

VAASL will provide snacks at your booth as participants have a dedicated time to visit the Exhibit Hall

Booth Space
Booths are 10 ft. wide by 8 ft. deep, piped and draped; includes carpeting, one 6ft. table, and two chairs.
The following factors will be taken into consideration as booth assignments are made: Sponsorships, date payment received, traffic flow and security.

VAASL Exhibitor Rules and Regulations

Exhibit Booth Fees and Payment Procedures
Registration may be paid by credit card or check.

Sponsorship and Advertising Opportunities
Exhibitors may also increase exposure to VAASL members and conference participants by purchasing sponsorships and ads.
Mix and match any options below to reach your desired sponsorship level (i.e. Official Sponsorship of a General Session plus a full page ad in the conference program = Gold Sponsorship). Gold Sponsorship is only $1500 and gives you the best exposure before, during and after the conference.
$1500+ Gold: Includes your logo presented Full-Screen during the Opening General Session, conference signage, preferential consideration when booth assignments are made, top billing in the Conference Program, and promotion on the VAASL Website.
$1000-$1499 Silver: Includes your logo presented Quarter-Screen during the Opening General Session, conference signage, preferential consideration when booth assignments are made, sponsorship recognition on VAASL Website and in the Conference Program.
$500-$999 Bronze: Includes conference signage, preferential consideration when booth assignments are made and sponsorship recognition on VAASL Website and in the Conference Program.
Sponsorships are available on a first come, first serve basis.
The deadline to have your sponsorship and/or ad placed in the 2016 VAASL Conference Program is September 23, 2016.

VAASL Conference rate - $130.00 per night King or 2 Double Beds.

THE NORFOLK WATERSIDE MARRIOTT IS NOW SOLD OUT OF THE VAASL BLOCK ON WEDNESDAY, 10/19 AND FRIDAY, 10/21. THERE ARE STILL ROOMS AVAILABLE FOR THRUSDAY 10/20 ONLY.
An alternate block of rooms has been reserved at the Courtyard Norfolk Downtown at 520 Plume Street within walking distance to the conference hotel (.3 miles, 5 minutes per Google maps). The rate is $99.00 per night for 1 King or 2 Queen beds.
